Leading Lady's Red Dress on Runway

Leading Lady  joined Mercedes-Benz and Diet Coke to be supporters of the Heart Truth Campaign.  Check out our little red dress.  We were so excited to be a part of this event.  We are all aware that the little black dress can not be replaced and even though Leading Lady is the leading designer to take your from the office to an evening out with comfort and design, we were intrigued by creating a little sleek red evening dress.

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) The Heart Truth campaign once again brought the Red Dress to life on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, with the debut of the Red Dress Collection 2011. A fairly new clothing designer, Leading Lady stole the show with their creation.  Leading Lady known for their dedication to the professional women, designing trendy, sytlish, but comfortable clothing came out with a bang.

More than 20 celebrity participants showcased the power of the Red Dress to encourage women to take action to protect their heart health. Leading Lady is always aware of current health issues and we were proud to be a leading participant.

Featuring nearly 70 top fashion houses and 150 celebrities since its inception, this annual event made possible through a partnership with the fashion industry has helped to establish the Red Dress as one of the most recognizable health symbols in the country.  The founders of Leading Lady, Jessica, Jessica and Glenda showed up wearing great stunning red outfits to the benefit.

This year’s Red Dress Collection was presented by Diet Coke with national sponsor Swarovski and partners Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and AOL.  Leading Lady is proud to take part in this event.

“For four years, Diet Coke has been a passionate supporter of The Heart Truth. This year we’re offering consumers more ways than ever to participate in the effort. We invite consumers nationwide to join us in capturing flags to help raise awareness and funding for heart health programs,” said William White, group director of Coke North America. “We are dedicated to encouraging new generations of people to be active, stay extraordinary and become advocates for heart health.”

We were proud of our display on the runway worn by Kim Kardashian.  It was a big hit.  Leading Lady is aware that even though our target is for the professional on the go lady we know all women need those nights on the town.
